As construction on the Silvertown Tunnel continues, Riverlinx has launched a number of new activities to help increase and improve communications, promoting details and regular updates about the project, and ways to keep in contact with our stakeholders.
Riverlinx, the Construction Joint Venture (CJV), is a partnership which combines the expertise and experience of three world-leading engineering and construction companies: Ferrovial Construction, BAM Nuttall and SK Ecoplant
Since construction began last year, significant progress has been made. Riverlinx is committed to keeping residents and businesses in the local communities where we operate informed and aware of how to get involved in current and future activities and how to access the opportunities available.
Digital - Riverlinx website and Silvertown Tunnel Virtual Exhibition
The new Riverlinx website has launched in parallel with the ‘Silvertown Tunnel Virtual Exhibition’.
Regular updates will keep everyone informed of latest developments via the website at the same time as maintaining existing communication channels with our stakeholders via community liaison groups and the helpline. The Riverlinx team will continue to listen to our stakeholders and collaborate with our client TfL and our supply chain to ensure information is accurate and meets the needs of the local community.
The site also outlines benefits; opportunities for jobs; construction timeline and updates, as well as the designs for the Silvertown Tunnel’s future plans and improvements for surrounding areas in Newham and Greenwich boroughs.
The Virtual Exhibition shares explanations of the impressive work across the project, from a design and engineering perspective, and some of the complexities faced and the sustainable solutions Riverlinx employs.. Discover our delivery approach, providing London with a positive legacy for years to come.

Silvertown Tunnel’s Community Liaison Groups (CLG)
Our Community Liaison Groups – one covering Newham and one covering Greenwich - are attended by representatives from TfL, Riverlinx, along with local residents and other people who have a stake in the success of the project. We meet every 3 months. Due to Coronavirus restrictions, the meetings are held virtually, with details of dates and times published in the Silvertown Tunnel newsletter (above).
